 Evaluations

  • Sensory Processing Evaluations

Sensory processing refers to the brain's ability to process information coming in through the sensory systems: visual, auditory, gustatory, olfactory, tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive. Some children struggle to process the information in their environments which results in a state of dysregulation.

A sensory evaluation can help identify:

    -sensory processing disorder

    -vestibular dysfunction

    -tactile defensiveness

    -auditory sensitivity

    -coordination/motor planning difficulties

    -hyperactivity/regulation difficulties

  • Fine Motor / Visual Motor Evaluations

Fine motor skill development relies on the coordination of the small muscle groups of the hands. Visual motor integration involves coordinating visual stimuli to gross and fine motor movements and plays a role in a child’s spatial awareness.

This evaluation can assess a child’s:

    -fine motor skills

    -visual motor skills

    -eye hand coordination

    -oculomotor skills

    -handwriting

    -developmental milestones
